Which divisions are available?

REC - OPEN (U10-U18): Best for new/newer players or anyone who wants a fun environment. Scores are tracked with less emphasis on results.
COMPETITIVE (U12-U18): Best for experienced players comfortable in competitive sport with stronger focus on performance and strategy.
NEW - COED & ALL-FEMALE TEAMS (REC U12/U14/U16): Teams may be all-girls or mixed. Mixed teams require at least 3 girls on roster and at least 1 girl on field at all times (may adjust based on registration).

Individual and small-group registrants may be assigned to a COED team or an OPEN REC team.

What ages can participate?

Age is based on year of birth.

U10: 2017-2019
U12: 2015-2016
U14: 2013-2014
U16: 2011-2012
U18: 2008-2010 (Grades 10-12)

When are games and practices?

Mondays: U12
Tuesdays: U14
Wednesdays: U16
Thursdays: U10 and U18
Divisions may shift if registrations exceed field capacity.
Each team plays two 1-hour games weekly at 6:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
Games are held at multiple locations across the city, not only your home area.

Practices are scheduled by each team, usually near where the team is based. Expect at least 1 practice/week for Blue tier teams and 2+ practices/week for Gold tier teams.

How do coaches and teams register?

Team creators are usually one of the coaches and do not need a full roster to register.
If you have at least 5 friends and are willing to coach, registering a team is usually the easiest path.
After team registration, you receive a Registration Join Code by email to share with players.
TeamLinkt app join codes are for followers and are not the registration join code.
Players age advancing must register in their DOB division first, then email technical@footballmanitoba.com for team reassignment.
All-girls teams should register in the age division matching DOB.

Confirm your home flag area before you start. Then choose the registration path that matches your situation.

Individual Player Small Group Joining a Team

Code check: Small Group codes start with SG and use the Individuals/Small Group form. Team Join Codes come from your coach (example: WXYZ1234). Codes shown in the mobile app with a hyphen are not registration codes.

Individual Player

Individual players are placed on teams with open roster spots or grouped with other free agents from the same flag area. These teams need one or more parent coaches.

Individual friend requests are no longer linked. Use the Small Group option to stay with friends.

Small Group

One player creates the group and gets a Group Code. Remaining friends select Join a Small Group and enter that code.

All players in the group must register by March 15 to guarantee placement.

Joining a Team

Joining a coach-created team requires the Registration Join Code from that coach. Requests to place individuals onto specific teams cannot be accepted without a code.

Players joining a team should register by April 1 before league roster fills.
